NAP First Level Membership Exam: Offered As Conference Workshop 25 On Saturday, April 21, 2012

The North Atlantic Regional Conference presents a full-day workshop on the principles of parliamentary procedure, including a “cram course” to prepare you to take the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP) first level membership examination on site at the Conference (select Workshop 25 to sit for the exam). The NAP is the oldest and largest professional non-profit association of parliamentarians in the world and its primary objectives include teaching, promoting and disseminating the philosophy and principles underlying the rules of deliberative assemblies, such as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and its international network of local chapters.    

Along with the national and chapter documents, each workshop participant must bring her copy of Robert’s Rules of Order, Newly Revised, 11th Edition.   Workshop participants who plan to take the NAP Membership Examination on site at the conference must also complete and mail the NAP Membership Application, and check payable to NAP, directly to the NAP corporate office in Independence, Missouri, with a copy to the Regional Parliamentarian by March 1, 2012.  Note that the NAP does not cash the check until after the examination is scored.  A copy of the NAP Membership Application is attached, along with NAP’s bank of 300 Study Questions.

***IMPORTANT: The following information is required on the NAP Membership Examination Application in the “Designation of Monitor” Section so that your examination package will be mailed to the NAR Parliamentarian:
